Travel Itinerary Example For Finland, Japan, Schengen & Canada Visa

This article offers a sample travel itinerary for Finland, Schengen, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand tourist visa applications. It also provides instructions for writing itineraries for solo travelers and family tours. Finally, this content presents an itinerary template in Word that travelers can edit and use.

Travel Itinerary

A travel itinerary is a schedule of journey plans, including dates, transportation, locations, activities, and accommodations. It provides detailed information about the tour plan. A travel itinerary clearly and concisely describes the purpose of the journey. It outlines trip activities, explaining where, when, how, and why the travelers want to visit.

How to Write an Itinerary

A travel itinerary sample is a template to explain a scheduled tour plan. A sample travel itinerary provides guidelines to inform others. Most embassies require a travel itinerary for tourist visa applications. Therefore, the tourist visa applicants must write and submit a complete travel itinerary with the visa application form and additional documents.

A good tour itinerary follows the 5W and 1 H writing style to answer who, where, when, how, and why questions. For example, it explains the following questions:

Who is planning to travel, mentioning a single person, a family, or a group of people?

Where do they want to visit, and what destinations and tourist attractions are they interested in?

What is the purpose of the journey? Explain the reason for the journey.

Why do you want to visit, and is it a holiday trip or a commercial tour?

When do they want to travel, including the date and time?

How to travel to the expected country or location, mentioning the transportation types?

Travel Itinerary Sample For Finland Visa

The author writes the following travel itinerary samples for a Finnish tourist visa application from Malaysia. I have received a Schengen visa from the Finnish embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Embassy of Finland asks me to submit a list of documents, including a travel itinerary, a booking ticket, a hotel reservation, a bank statement, a current student pass, travel insurance, and an application form with a photo.

I wrote this travel itinerary to explain a five-day tour to Helsinki, Finland. Finally, the Embassy of Finland in Malaysia accepted my travel itinerary and additional documents and issued a tourist visa for travel to the Schengen countries. It is an example of writing a travel itinerary for a Schengen visa application.

Travel Itinerary for Schengen Visa

An abstract is the most important part of the research paper or proposal to attract the leaders to read the entire article. The abstract of a research paper or proposal is known as an executive summary of the study.

The readers are lecturers, supervisors, co-supervisors, members of the supervisor panel, students, researchers, and practitioners. A good abstract attracts the readers to read the entire study. It outlines the key findings of the research topic before reading the full manuscripts.

Elements of a Research Paper Abstract APA

The five key elements of writing an APA-style abstract for a research paper or proposal are background, objective, method with tools, findings, and significance. The students or researchers must include these five components in the abstract to explain the executive summary of the entire document.

1. Background

It is a simple opening sentence that includes the background of the study and context. Sometimes, it also presents the problem statements of the thesis.

2. Objective

It illustrates the aim of the study within one or two sentences. It also demonstrates why this study is important.

3. Method(s) with Tools:

It explains what type of method will be used to conduct the research within one or two sentences. Researchers must mention the tools utilized for data analysis within one sentence. For example, SPSS, PLS-SEM, CB-SEM.

4. Findings

It demonstrates the results of studies indicating the accomplishment of research projects.

5. Significance

The concluding sentence highlights the positive consequences of the results within one sentence. It also indicates how the results will be used theoretically and practically.

Characteristics of a Good Research Abstract

A good abstract answers the following questions:

  1. Why do you want to conduct this study or research?
  2. How do you want to complete this study or research?
  3. What do you want to find from this study?
  4. Where do you want to use the findings of the study?
  5. Who are the respondents or participants of this research, if necessary?

An ideal abstract follows an inverted pyramid style of writing that answers why, what, how, where, and who questions. The answers represent the six key elements of the research paper, including background, objective, method(s), tools, findings, and conclusion. It is a bad idea to merely copy the sentences from the article or proposal and put them in the abstract section. The researchers must paraphrase the sentences and write accurate and concise information. Additionally, you have to proofread the manuscript to fix grammatical errors, spelling, and punctuation. Finally, you must follow the simple present and past tense when writing the abstract.

TITLE: CHALLENGES, BARRIERS, AND COPING STRATEGIES EXPERIENCED BY WOMEN LEADERS IN PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES OF MALAYSIA

There are more female academicians than there are male working in the public universities of Malaysia; however, their representation in the administrative leadership positions is less than that of the men. This is a similar situation to that of public universities in many other countries. The lack of representation of women in the leadership positions in the higher institutions, such as public universities, is largely due to the challenges that are faced by them. This study explores these challenges that are preventing women in accessing and holding administrative leadership positions in Malaysian public universities, as well as investigating the challenges that may have a negative impact. Furthermore, the study explored strategies and actions that could be utilised in overcoming these challenges that women are facing.

A qualitative approach, using explorative research design, was deemed appropriate for this study. The empirical study included twelve semi-structured interviews with female deans at six public universities in Selangor in Malaysia to explore the challenges faced by women. These challenges were categorised into three main types, which includes social, organisational and individual challenges. The study identified religion, male domination and negative attitudes of local people towards women leaders as the social challenges faced by women in accessing university leadership positions. However, among these challenges, only the negative attitudes of people in society exists for women who are already holding administrative leadership positions in public universities. However, this study finds internal politics, male domination, lack of benefits (both financial and non-financial) and biasness of top management personnel as the organisational challenges faced by women in accessing administrative leadership positions. However, subsequent organisational challenges are similar to the organisational challenges identified in accessing positions but the negative perception of colleagues and their lack of support, together with lack of childcare facilities, have also emerged as challenges for women who are already holding administrative leadership positions in the public universities of Malaysia.

Furthermore, as far as individual challenges are concerned in accessing administrative leadership positions in the public universities, this study has identified familial responsibilities and a lack of motivation, technological knowledge, confidence, and time management. However, only family responsibilities and lack of technological knowledge were found as the subsequent individual challenges for women holding the administrative leadership positions. Apart from these challenges, the study also attempted to identify some specific challenges highlighted by respondents that may have a negative impact on potential female leaders in Malaysian public universities. The study found that there were too many responsibilities for potential female leaders in universities, which was creating a negative impact, including difficulties in managing people, complicated promotion criteria, negative perceptions of colleagues, and a lack of financial benefits.

The study finally concluded with some recommendations as coping strategies and actions derived from participants that could be utilized in overcoming the challenges faced by women in accessing and holding administrative leadership positions in Malaysian public universities. These included reducing responsibilities, training, organizing seminars, symposiums, and developing family-friendly workplace facilities.
